Good Evening all,
How are you this evening?
Daripada mikirin besok Senin, hehehe, lebih baik belajar tenses nih, iya gak?
Nah, kali ini kita akan mulai dengan tense yang simpel sekali, yaitu Simple Present Tenses. InshaAllah setelah membaca blog ini kawan-kawan akan lebih paham kapan dan apa saja aturan dalam menggunakan Simple Preset Tense.
Now let’s start…
Simple Present is a tense that very simple to use for present time. Remember this, it is for the present time, not for past or future, so it is very simple.
There are some conditions we use Simple Present Tense:

  1. For informing Fact
Usually use for telling jobs and an activities that you use in daily life.
Examples : I am a teacher, He is a Postman, Anne is a writer, and many others
  1. For telling habits
Ahmad always reads Quran before he goes to sleep, she rarely raises her voice, Danny always says good morning when he meets me.

Nah kalau kalimat nya negatif bagaimana ya?
Let me answer it for you my beloved friends,

Simple + negative form
If it is nominal sentence (to be) with is, am, are, you just need to add not after it.
Example : (+) I am a teacher
                 (-) I am not a teacher
And if it is verbal sentence (with verb), such as read, look, see, think, and so on. You just need to add DO or DOES + NOT, which depends on its pronoun.
Example: (+) Danny always says good morning to me
(-) Danny does not say good morning to me
               (+) They read a novel
(-) They do not read a novel

Now how if it is interrogative sentence?
Okay, in interrogative sentence, you just need make the to be (am, is, are) in front your sentence for nominal sentence, and for verbal sentence, you can add DO or DOES in front of your sentence.
Example : (+) Is she a teacher?
(+) Danny always says good morning to me
(?) Does Danny say good morning to you?
(?) Do they read a novel?

Note: because it is a simple tense, so the answer for the interrogative sentence is just Yes, she is or No, she is not, and Yes, Danny(He) Does or No, He does not and Yes, they do or NO, they do not.

Now, time to say good bye, I hope this explanation will help you.
Thank you very much for your visiting, Assalamu’alaikum..
